In 2016, the Housekeeping segment of the Hospitality Industry in India took a bold step forward to “Redefine Housekeeping in the Corporate Strategy”.
This successfully culminated in the two-day high level Summit held at Sahara Star Mumbai in August 2016 where over 200 hospitality delegates converged to discuss and deliberate on the elements that could take housekeeping from an administration level to become a boardroom function.

Supporting the endeavour, procurement heads and general managers of leading hotels held hands of housekeepers in the redefining process.
Leading hotels from across India and other countries, including UAE, Qatar, Maldives, Vietnam and New Zealand, participated in an Summit.

A unique Fashion Show of Uniforms completed the process giving housekeepers and their colleagues in the hospitality segment a new look and a way forward.

Asian Housekeepers' Association
IHS-2016 also witnessed the formation of the first-ever Asian Housekeepers Association where more than nine countries came forward to form a forum to represent housekeepers across Asia.
