THE BEST HOUSEKEEPER OF ASIA
Hotels across Asia are invited to send in the Nominations of their Director of Housekeeping/Services, Housekeeping Manager and Executive Housekeepers (one per hotel) to bag the title. Nomination entries will close on August 20, 2017. Nomination forms have to be uploaded online at
There are two awards in this category – Winner and Runner up.
Criteria of Participation
Holding the title of Corporate or Executive Housekeeper for at least five years in the same organisation.
Out of the entries received, 10 candidates will be shortlisted based on merit by an undisclosed team of five reputed experts from various industries. During the process of selection, candidates will be interviewed if need be by the jury members on the given mobile numbers with prior intimation. The selected 10 candidates will have to be present on September 8, 2017, at the International Housekeepers’ Summit by 8.30am. The candidates will join the Summit thereafter.
Another undisclosed team of jury will be present in the Summit hall to assess the finer details of the selected candidates. The 10 candidates will be introduced to the delegates of IHS2017 at 9.30am. Five of them will be shortlisted and announced at 12.30pm during the IHS2017. Finally, the three finalists will be nominated for the prestigious Best Housekeeper of Asia Award and announced at 4pm.
During the gala evening award function, the three nominated finalists will take the stage to answer a set of questions put up by the jury. Along with the jury’s scores, the votes of the attending delegates will be added to select the winner and the runner of the Best Housekeeper of Asia Award.
The winner and runner up will join hands with the housekeepers’ association of their respective countries to discharge the following duties during the 12 months that they hold the title:
Provide housekeeping training lessons for 10 hours through the year
• To hotel management students
• To housekeeping staff of any three-star hotels
• Engage in Social Activity for the welfare of the Society
• Engage in Hand Hygiene drive in any school
All the above activities will have to be recorded and documented. Clean India Journal will provide full coverage to all these activities.
